Founder & CEO
I started Altura because I've seen companies build teams in India the wrong way — and I've seen how powerful it can be when it's done right.
For me, this business is personal. Over the years, I've worked with incredibly talented people in India, built real friendships, and seen firsthand what happens when teams are trusted, connected, and treated as part of the same mission. That experience shaped the way I think about Altura.
This is not just about lower cost or more capacity. Those things matter, but they are only part of the story. The real opportunity is building teams that understand the client's business, feel connected to the work, and take pride in the outcomes they help deliver.
Before starting Altura, I spent more than 20 years leading technology teams across companies including Lockton, H&R Block, and Oracle Health. Most recently, I built a Global Capability Center in India for Lockton that grew from startup to 125 associates in nine months. As International CIO at H&R Block, I also built teams that helped transform business and technology operations across Canada and Australia.
Altura is my opportunity to take what I've learned and build something the right way: strong client relationships, a connected team culture, and a real commitment to the community in Trivandrum, India.
Outside of work
First and foremost, I'm a dad to three kids. Most weekends, you'll find me at a soccer field, basketball court, or baseball diamond cheering them on. I also love to travel. I've been to more than 20 countries and 25 U.S. national parks, and I've always found that experiencing new cultures and seeing the natural beauty of different places helps me recharge and keep perspective.

Shyam leads Altura's India delivery operations, local team development, talent access, and execution support in Trivandrum.
He is focused on building a strong delivery organization that combines technical excellence, operational discipline, and a people-first culture. Shyam ensures our teams have the environment, tools, and support they need to deliver high-quality work for our clients while continuing to grow and develop.
Shyam's deep understanding of the local talent landscape and his commitment to building long-term relationships in the community are key to the success of Altura's delivery model.
Outside of work
I challenge myself on half-marathon trails and high-altitude treks, and find balance reading or spending time on my farm. My greatest and most rewarding venture, however, is raising my two teenage sons.
